Sloughi

        This breed is pronounced “sloogi” and originates from North Africa.  They are reputed to show a lot of elegance, but outside of their native country, they don’t seem to demonstrate it.  They also hunt, in the desert, and their hunting humans are almost the same as the Saluki.  Their coats are usually short and easy to groom, and it comes in fawn, sable, black, and tan.  There can also be tricolors or two colors.  They love their owners, but are cautious of strangers.  So, if you want a Sloughi, you might want to get one that’s a puppy.
