Pyrenean Shepherd
The Pyrenean Shepherd is a small, lively
dog. The coat is long, flat against the Pyrenean Shepherd’s body. It is usually
colored fawn to tan to copper, and can have a mixture of hairs that range in
color from black to grey, or charcoal to pearl gray, to silver. There can also
be a little white. The males should, in the Smooth-Faced strain, be 15.5-21
inches tall, and in the Rough-Faced strain, be 15.5-18.5 inches. The females in
the Smooth-Faced strain, be 15.5-20.5 inches, and in
the Rough-Faced strain, be 15-18 inches tall. The Pyrenean Shepherd can get
very attached to his master, usually through herding work. He is devoted to his
job, distrustful of strangers while friendly to members of his immediate
family.
