This dog is probably the beginner of the Pointer family,
being bred for the specific purpose of pointing hares for the Greyhounds to
chase. They have a short, shiny coat,
and since they aren’t one of the chase or intimidate
breeds, they don’t need to be giant nor heavy.
The male weighs 25-27 inches tall, and the female is 24-26 inches
tall. The male is 65 pounds, and the
female is 57 ½ pounds. He only requires
the least grooming, needs some exercise but not lot, t needs quite a lot of food. His coat is usually colored white, lemon or
orange with liver or black. These
athletic dogs are gentle and easily biddable, and would make a great house pet
for athletic to-be dog owners!
