Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen

        The Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, or PBGV, is a cheerful and happy dog.  He is no exception at being able to do his job, and is very active.  He isn’t a very tall breed, with the dog at 13 ½-15 inches, and the female at 14 inches.  They’re fairy heavy for their size, the dog weighing 42 pounds, and the female at 39 ½ pounds.  He has a rough coat with a thick coat underneath, and that makes him waterproof.  He has long fur over his eye, so to groom him, a curry comb would be useful.  He also needs to eat well in order to keep energy for the exercise he needs.  He is not, in all, a town, dog, but more prefers the countryside.
