Miniature Schnauzer

        The Miniature Schnauzer is one of three Schnauzer breeds.  In the United States, he is part of the Terrier group.  He has a distinct beard and eyebrows as well, which gives him a dignified look.  The male is 14 inches tall, and he weighs 20 pounds.  The female is 13 inches, and she weighs 16½ pounds.  The coat is harsh and wiry, and can be colored the rare black, black and silver, or the most common dark grey, which is officially termed “pepper and salt”.  They re great utility dogs, and can be a companion for the busy family or the senior citizen.
