Miniature Bull Terrier
The Miniature Bull Terrier is exactly
like the Bull Terrier in every way but size. Its coat is short, harsh to the
touch but should have a sheen, and it can be colored any color. Both males and
females should be 10-14 inches tall. In the American Kennel Club show ring, any
dog outside of this range will be penalized. The Miniature Bull Terrier was
bred as a cross between a Bulldog and the now extinct White English Terrier.
When they thought it wasn’t big enough, they added Spanish Pointer to the
breed. With the variety that now exists, they separated the breed into two separate
breeds, a Standard and Miniature strain. The temperament of the Miniature Bull
Terrier is courageous and full of fire, but Miniature Bull Terriers should be
amendable to training.
