Japanese Akita

        The Japanese Akita, also known as simply the Akita, is actually a working dog in some countries.  He is very intelligent, and he also needs a lot of exercise. This dog has all the details of a Spitz, although he is certainly the most impressive of them.  Their coats are medium in length, and can come in anywhere from white, pinto or to grey.  Both genders are pretty heavy, with both around 110 pounds.  The male is 26-29 inches tall, and the female is 24½-26 inches.  They’re dominant and courageous, and he needs to fit your lifestyle to be a good dog for either someone single or a family.
