Havanese
The Havanese breed is a toy breed that
originated in Spain.
The coat is soft and light in texture, and can be colored any color or
combination of colors. Both the males and the females should be 8.5-11.5 inches
high at the shoulder, with 9-10.5 inches being the ideal. There are no weight
restrictions on this breed. Havaneses are also known as the Havana Silk Dog and the Spanish Silk Poodle. It
is also the national dog of Cuba,
and its only native breed. Playful and alert, trainable and intelligent, the
Havanese with its sweet non-quarrelsome disposition is a very good family dog,
especially for children.
