Great Dane
The Great Dane has a large head that is
carried high, and it gives an impression of strength. He is a hound used for chasing boar in his
native Germany. He is very strong, and is deep-chested. They are giant, with the male at 30 inches tall,
and the female at 28 inches tall. They
are also very heavy dogs, with the male at 119 pounds, and the female weighing
101½ pounds. Their coats are short, and
they can be colored brindle, fawn, blue, black or harlequin in any mix. They are friendly, but still dignified dogs, and they will not fit in a small house.
