Elkhound
The Elkhound
is used to hunt elk, known as the moose in the U.S. He is known to be nimble, quick and
courageous. His coat is basically grey,
and is weatherproof. His ears are perk
upright, as most dogs in the Spitz group, and his tail curls onto his
back. He has a loud bark, which sounds
mean to intruders. However, he is
basically friendly. Elkhounds live to an
old age, and are good companions, whether in the family or on the hunting
grounds.
