Doberman Pinscher

        The Doberman Pinscher is a dog from the working group. The males should be 26-28 inches high, with the ideal height being 27 ½ inches. The females should be 24-26 inches high, with the ideal being 25 ½ inches. The coat is short and thick, usually colored in red, black, blue or fawn with rust and white patches. The Doberman Pinscher was originally bred for being a guard dog and companion for Lewis Dobermann. They also are used by the police. Doberman Pinschers are intelligent and absorb training, while being a friend and guardian.
