Dachshund
The Dachshund can’t really be classified as one breed, for
they come in six varieties. In sizes,
there are Standards and Miniatures, and their coat types can be Long-haired,
Smooth-haired, and Wire-haired. Their name
translates to “badger dog” and they were dogs who mostly chased badgers. If there’s a type of Dachshund that could be
called the original, it would be the Standard Smooth-haired. They all have the basic low-slung body. They’re usually independent dogs, and will
bite. They don’t have a usual coast
type, and it varies. All in all, any
form of a Dachshund would make a great companion.
