Anatolian Shepherd Dog

                The Anatolian Shepherd Dog is from Turkey.  These dogs are used to protect flocks of sheep from wolves and thieves.  He enjoys exercise, but his ancestors were expected to move as slowly as the sheep, so he is in no great hurry.  They are very tall, the male is at 29-32 inches tall, and the female is 28-31 inches tall.  They also weigh accordingly, and the male is 110-141 pounds, and the female is 90½-131 pounds.  His coat is short, and can be colored from cream to fawn with a black mask and ears.  They are good family dogs, but they are meant to guard, so he needs exercise.
