Tasseled Hat
You can make this hat with different colors or in one color. The directions are for making different colors, purple, green, teal, pink and gold, but you can do whatever you like. To make the set (including the Pocket Scarf) you will need 280 yards of gold yarn, and 70 yards of green, purple, pink, and teal yarn. The pattern rrecommends that you use size 10 knitting needles. Cast on 34 stitches with the purple yarn. Work in Garter Stitch until the piece is 9 inches long. Bind off. Then repeat to make a second half exactly the same size in the green yarn. Bind off. Sew the two pieces together, remembering that this is a hat that needs to fit a head into it. Using the gold yarn, make 2 tassels, then sew then onto the corners of the hat. (The tassels aren't necessary, they just look cute.) You will need about 70 yards of yarn for each color that you use.
