Size: Approximately 8 x 62" including fringe. MATERIALS: 6 ounces of Puff for color A and Cafe Au Lait for color B, size 15 straight knitting needles, size 10 mm crochet hook. SPECIAL ABBREVIATION: Sl 2-p: With yarn on wrong side of fabric, slip next 2 stitches purlwise. INSTRUCTIONS: With color A, cast on 20 stitches. Row 1 (wrong side): With color A, purl. Row 2: With color B, knit 1; (sl 2-p, knit 4) across, ending knit 1. Row 3: With B, knit 1; (purl 4, sl 2-p) across, ending knit 1. Row 4: With color A, knit 1; (knit 4, sl 2-p) across, ending knit 1. Row 5: With color A, knit 1; (sl 2-p, purl 4) across, ending knit 1. Row 6: With color B, knit 3; (sl 2-p, knit 4) across to the last 5 stitches, sl 2-p, knit 3. Row 7: With color B, knit 1, purl 2; (sl 2-p, purl 4) across to the last 5 stitches, sl 2-p, purl 2, knit 1. Rows 8-9: With color A, repeat Rows 2-3. Rows 10-11: With color B, repeat Rows 4-5. Rows 12-13: With color A, repeat Rows 6-7. Repeat Rows 1-13 for pattern until piece measures approx. 62" from beginning, ending with a Row 5 or a Row 11. With color A, bind off loosely and knitwise. FRINGE: Cut 2 strands of color A measuring approx. 24" long. Holding strands together, fold in half to form a loop. With the wrong side of scarf facing you and crochet hook, take loop through first stitch at right edge. Take ends through loop and pull up to form a knot. Add 11 fringe to each end. Trim ends.
