Patchwork Afghan
Making the Patchwork Afghan alone will take a long time. Making it with a friend or a group will make the work go a lot faster. Since there is no exact size, there is no exact yarn amount that you will need. However, the pattern does recommend that you use a pair of size 10 needles. To make a 1' X 1' square, cast on 36 stitches. To make a 6" square, cast on 8 stitches. Knit in garter stitch until you have a sqaure. Bind off, and repeat to make more squares, then stitch them together with a yarn needle and yarn. You can make a small afghan or a big one.
