With size 10 1/2 needles and 1 (4 ounce) skein of yarn about 125 yards of bulky yarn, cast on 72 stitches. Work in stockinette stitch until your piece measures 8 inches. Decrease as follows. ROW 1: Knit 2 stitches together, and repeat all the way across (36 stitches remaining). ROW 2: Purl. ROWS 3 & 4: Repeat rows 1 and 2 (18 stitches remaining). ROW 5: Repeat row 1, and there should now be 9 stitches on your needle. Cut the yarn and thread the tail throught the remaining 9 stitches, and pull to tighten. Sew seam.
