Staffordshire Bull Terrier

        This breed is not to be confused with the pit bull, even though they are alike in appearance.  These dogs tend to have a lot of courage, and they would probably make a good guard dog.  However, these dogs need a lot of love!  They’re fairly small, with the male being 14-16 inches tall, and the female being 14 inches.  They weigh quite a bit for their size, with the male being 27½-37½ pounds, and the female weighing 24-34 pounds.  Their coats are short, with color choices of red, fawn, black, or brindle with any amount of white.  These dogs are very powerful, and loving small dogs that are devoted to their house and family.
