St. Bernard
The St.
Bernard is already well known as a rescue dog for people lost in
mountains. He also has a very massive
frame, and originated in Switzerland. He is traditionally portrayed with a
miniature brandy barrel on is collar as he locates people lost in snow. Their coats are medium to long, and they can be colored
orange, red brindle or mahogany brindle with white in any mix. They are giant, with their maximum at 36
inches tall. The male weighs 165½
pounds, and the female weighs 150 pounds.
They are steady and benevolent, and are very charming as young puppies.
