German Shepherd

        The German Shepherd is known as a dg to work with the police force.  He is also a good herding dog, and as a guide dog for the blind.  The back legs tend to be at more of a diagonal angle than the front legs as well.  They have a medium sized coat, and it can be black, black and tan, or sable.  They are tall, with the male at 24-26 inches tall, and the female at 22-24 inches tall.  They weigh a lot as well, with the male weighing 80½ pounds, and the female weighing 65 pounds.  They are very intelligent, and they are loyal and need to have somewhere to direct their energy.
