Dalmatian

        This dog is one of the most recognizable of all breeds.  His coat is short, and colored with a white base and black or liver spots all over.  He is also a famous fire house mascot.  He came from Dalmatia, which is on the Adriatic coast.  The male is 23-24 inches tall, and he weighs 60 pounds.  The female weighs 55 pounds and is 22-23 inches tall.  They make very good pets, being naturally very friendly to people, and he lives to an old age, which is a heartbreaking worry for most pet owners.
