Belgian Tervuren
The
Belgian Tervuren is classified in the Herding Group. His coat is moderately
harsh, considerately long, and colored rich fawn to mahogany with black
overlay. The male is 24-26 inches tall, with males 23 inches or over 26 ½ inches
as a disqualification. The females are 22-24 inches in height when measured at
the withers. Their ears are generally pointing straight up; floppy ears are a
disqualification in the show ring. They are medium sized dogs, solid but not
bulky. They tend to be jealous for affection from those they know well, suspicious
of strangers but not to attack unprovoked.
